John Stoddart - Owner & Head Mechanic
John has over 20 years experience racing bikes all over the world. Having completed road races, time trials, sportifs, Ironman Triathlons and marathons in places as far away as Malaysia, Mexico and Africa. He has a huge knowledge of bikes and endurance events.
As our Head Mechanic, John is fully CyTech qualified and will complete all repairs to the highest professional standard on any kind of bike (including e-bikes).
John was a successful Club Manager and Personal Trainer with a global fitness brand before a life changing bike accident in 2019 helped him realise a corporate life wasn’t right for him. He retrained as a bike mechanic, set up MeloVelo and is now here to help you and your family enjoy cycling - safely!
The MeloVelo Family
MeloVelo was launched by a family of cycling enthusiasts, to give something back to a sport and community that had given them fun, enjoyment and health.
Our fully equipped workshop is based just outside Henfield and we can complete any repairs or upgrades you desire. We also run bike safety and repair sessions across Sussex to encourage young people to be mechanically proficient and to enjoy a lifetime of cycling.
